feeding moms: How many feedings per day is normal for a 2 month old baby?

My daughter was nursing 12-16 times a day then. She is 5 months now and has had a few weeks here and there where she only nurses 6-8 times in a day, but for the most part she is still nursing an average of 12 times a day. When she has growth spurts it can be as many as 18 times in a day. Normally it's a lot less frequent at night - usually 2-4 times between 10 pm an 8 am.
