What good has the Iraq war done?
I can't think of a thing. Conceptually Saddam was a cruel dictator but getting rid of him in exchange for the destruction of a country, many lives, waste and corruption was certainly not worth it. Clearly it did a lot of good financially for Bush, his war machine Halliburton, and all that premised on the lie that Iraq had WMD's. Why Bush didn't go after Osama instead is beyond me, although Michael Moore provides some plausible explanation. Bush and the Western powers repeated in Iraq what happened in Eastern Europe, where different ethnic groups turned on each other with a vengeance where before there was national stability. .Of course the Military Industrial Complex and colonialist nations love to fish in troubled waters, and not just for the fun of it. As a post script Obama is repeating Bush's idiocy in Afghanistan, and not a peep out of anyone. What a sad scenario
