Hard, white buildup on the back portion of my bottom front teeth?

Hey I just noticed that I had some hard, white buildup on the back of my bottom two front teeth and with my fingernail i could scratch it off. However I also noticed that there is now a very small gap between the teeth and my gums. I don't feel any pain whatsoever when I move liquid towards it. what is this?
