Did you know the of your baby before getting a sonogram?

Were you able to tell if your baby was a boy or a girl even before you went to the doctor? I kinda have a feeling of what mine will be..im 14 weeks pregnant but have a strong feeling it is a boy. Also..any cool name advice you could give me :) ?
